The Double Knockdown: And You Thought it only Happens in the Movies

In a scene straight out of an old black and white comedy,  the Cello Renda vs Paul Samuels fight delivered a very rare double knockdown. They met in the supporting undercard fight for Matthew Hatton’s IBO lightweight title fight last November 13.

During Round 3, both pugilists delivered perfect left hooks at the same, sending each other down on the floor. The poor referee did not know where to look as he started counting.

The announcer cheekily commented that this might be the start of new sport called “synchronized boxing”.

Come to think out, Samuels hair makes him look like “Larry” from Three Stooges.  “Larry” eventually won the fight by TKO in Round 3.
